In the impact reports, we estimate CO2 emissions using [the European Energy Agency's factors for reduced CO2-footprint](https://www.eionet.europa.eu/etcs/etc-wmge/products/etc-wmge-reports/greenhouse-gas-emissions-and-natural-capital-implications-of-plastics-including-biobased-plastics). We find the reduced emission by comparing the emissions of our product with a similar product made in virgin plastic. Next we compare this number with emissions of common activities to put it in context.

 

- For emissions from a one-way flight from London to New York we use [ICAO Carbon Emissions Calculator](https://www.icao.int/environmental-protection/Carbonoffset/Pages/default.aspx)
